Photos of a Farm Life - InstaFriday

We have been enjoying late Spring type weather and temps this week in Georgia.  The downfall is our pollen count is through the roof! Over 9000 on Tuesday. Seriously?!  My car is red with a lemon yellow glaze over it.  I feel as if I am breathing in pollen and blowing it out like a smoker's cloud.
A beautiful week for our University's Spring Break.  I'm sure our students enjoyed it!  However, the rest of us were stuck inside working.
Saturday my gorgeous 20 year old daughter attended a friend's party.  She asked me to snap her photo beforehand.  This is 'dressed up' for her.  She usually sports a t-shirt with jeans or shorts.   Sunday me and the Farmer were treated to a rare afternoon of 'free' time.  Which doesn't happen very often with a 4 year old.  First we had lunch....
Then we headed over to pick up some garden supplies and a few herb plants.  I am going to try my hand at a small herb garden.
Then we did what everyone else does round here on pretty Sunday afternoons (that is if they ain't nappin')...
drove slow around country roads.  Me singing loudly to the radio until I yelled STOP...I want a picture of
moo cows.
After our free time we hauled the youngen down to the spillway for some fun of his own.  Wading, moving logs and tossing rocks in the water.
He was so muddy at the end of the day; he had to strip down to his undies on the back porch before heading straight for a bath.
That's what little boys do.
My small city still has a downtown square, with sidewalk cafe's, a coffee shop and quaint bookstore.
The plus about all this warm weather in March is I am already wearing these...
New comfy sandals from Target.  I even painted my toes.  To see the rest of my thrifty outfits, check out THIS POST.
Welcoming Spring to Georgia, with heat and through the roof pollen counts.
One of the thrift outfits I wore to work this week.
If I'm gonna hit a traffic jam...
Well it better be a tractor man.
It's a boy! or maybe it's a girl!  We don't know yet.
The newest addition to the farm.  Another baby turkey hatched last night.  We are waiting on hopefully 2 others to make their debut.  There you have a small peek into my life;  from our little college town to country roads, and right on down to our thrifty simple farm.

  1. What a happy, fun post! Everything is yellow with pollen here in Alabama too. Or at least it was until this morning's rain.

    1. The sandals are the bomb! Turkeys ARE adorable as babies, but they go through a case of the uggies before they become grown and strut their stuff around the barn yard.
