While watering my pansies on the porch,
I noticed a nail calling out for something.
Do you hear voices? Or am I the only one?
At the Dollar Tree, what catches my eye?
Plain wreaths, I quickly grabbed several.

One large and 2 medium sized.
There is always a use for a simple wreath.
Inside or out.
You always NEED them! ;-)

So here were the Dollar goodies I planned to craft into a wreath for my porch.
Gosh, I probably need to plant some grass!

I started and stopped.
The flowers I picked up just were not working.
Do you ever have that vision that just doesn't come out the way you saw it?

So another quick trip to the store after work.
Now I have a simple, quick and inexpensive wreath hung on the nail that spoke to me.
Total cost: $5 (4 flower stems and the wreath)
I need a new rug.
I also made the metal basket on the door.

Your porch looks very springy and ready for Easter company. I am needing to do my porch. It is too windy here today, but you made me think about doing it tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLove that cute little bench. Your guests will certainly feel welcomed with your cheery colors.
ReplyDeleteI made a dollar store wreath a few weeks ago, then spotted the same plain ones you used--I almost bought one but wasn't sure where I would put it--after seeing yours, I think I'll try one for the carport door if I have to--it turned out so cute and fresh looking!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little wreath. I LOVE that bench and how simply you styled it. It is very inviting!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week!
What a welcoming front porch! Your new wreath looks so cheerful, and I love the other bits of yellow and the quilt too! And about having projects not turn out like you see it in your head...happens to me ALL THE TIME!! LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Stacey
haha you're funny...I think I hear voices a lot of places...shopping too. :) I love what you did with that wreath! I noticed those this last week at the dollar store too, but am not as creative as you and didn't see the potential. Thanks so much for posting on Favorite Things Friday!
ReplyDeleteI thought I was the only one "things" talked to...I guess if it gives you that awesomeness then I will not complain!!! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful porch!
